BIG DOG NATION
NBA season is in full tilt and prices are already through the roof! Due to this, I wanted to focus on someone going under the radar even with some big news in the NFL.
First let us take a moment for those who saved the LA Rams in their survivor pools for week 15 against the New York Jets.
With the Jets doing the most Jets thing ever, Jacksonville is in the lead for Trevor Lawrence.
Lets dive deeper into the effect this would have on the Jags offense.
The biggest impact Trevor Lawrence would have on card prices in the Jags offense would be for Laviska Shenault. We already have seen what DJ Chark could do with a pro bowl season in 2018, and his card prices surprisingly still reflect that. With a huge statistical drop, inconsistent performance, and lack of separation on the field for routes run (2.4 yards of separation), I think Chark is appropriately priced even with the potential of Lawrence coming in to Jacksonville.
On the other hand, Shenault came into the NFL and had the highest Offensive Value Metric (a grading system to show value a player provides their offense) in 2 of the first 5 weeks for a WR. After battling injuries and his own horrible QBs, Shenault launched back to the highest OVM for a WR in week 15. He has been one of the best wide receivers in the NFL in terms of separation, creating 4 yards of separation when he has been targeted this season.
This week we are loading up on 2020 Panini Prizm Laviska Shenault rookie cards.
