Week 12 D/ST Streamers

“I Just Need Some Points” (D/STs Owned In 70-20% Of 10-Team Yahoo Leagues)

 

 

Philadelphia Eagles – VS New York Giants

 

            Keeping a short-term memory in mind here after the Eagles were destroyed by the Saints last week, but the Eagles should rebound nicely against a Giants team that they turned over once and sacked four times back in Week 6. The Eagles are a bit banged up right now, but they should provide a solid floor against a Giants offense that is long on talent but short on consistency. The Eagles are a middle of the road play this week.

 

Dallas Cowboys – VS Washington Redskins

 

            The Redskins are fresh off losing their starting quarterback to a broken leg after already dealing with weekly attrition along the offensive line and other skill positions. Leading up to last week, the Redskins had only scored 20-plus points in 4-of-9 games and allowed at least three sacks in 6-of-9 games. I would be firing up the Cowboys this week against a Redskins team that should struggle to move the ball on offense, is banged up, and replacing a quarterback. The Cowboys D/ST should have plenty to eat on Thanksgiving.

 

Indianapolis Colts – VS Miami Dolphins

           

            After a two-week drought of no sacks, the Colts tallied five against the Titans in Week 11 to go with two interceptions. Even with Ryan Tannehill back at quarterback for the Dolphins, the Colts should be able to put the pressure on a lackluster Dolphins offense as they struggle to keep up in this game. Fire up the Colts for a solid D/ST play in Week 12.

 

 

“So, You’re Saying There’s A Chance” (D/STs Owned In 20-10% of 10-Team Yahoo Leagues)

 

 

New York Giants - @ Philadelphia Eagles

           

            Surprisingly, the Giants D/ST have put up usable fantasy numbers this season, at times, despite their 3-7 record. With injuries taking a toll on the Eagles in recent weeks, the Giants should put up a better performance than the dud in the previous matchup between these two teams. By no means a safe play, the Giants are playing a desperate Eagles team at home and I think that means a little more fight from the Giants D/ST this time around.

 

Cincinnati Bengals – VS Cleveland Browns

 

            The Bengals D/ST got back on track last week against the Ravens after a seven-week stretch in with they only scored positive fantasy points twice. In what should be a mixed bag matchup in terms of offensive firepower, the Bengals should push the Browns into some tough situations that could lead to some sacks and turnovers. I think the Bengals can salvage some fantasy points in this divisional matchup at home.

 

 

“You Might Want To Look Away” (D/STs Owned in <10% 10-Team Yahoo Leagues)

 

 

San Francisco 49ers - @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

 

            It simply hasn’t mattered who is under center for the Bucs this season, they will continue to turn the ball over on offense. The Niners have been surprisingly competitive throughout the season, so against a sloppy Bucs team I think they can stay competitive while taking advantage of the offensive mistakes from the Bucs. Worth a play in a pinch and as a sleeper in DFS.
