If you told me a year ago I would be writing an article telling people to buy this player I would tell you that your dealer is lacing whatever you are on - but here we are. After the NFL draft, we began reviewing the big winners and losers in the sports card market. A certain QB with a new team and offensive weapons only got better in the draft.

This week we are buying up Sam "Seeing Ghosts" Darnold. Walking into Carolina with the best pass catching RB in the league, a legitimate WR1 in DJ Moore and the rejuvenated deep ball thread Robby Anderson Darnold was already in a position to succeed. Carolina came into the draft and snagged Jaycee Horn with the 8th pick to help the defense keep Darnold's offense on the field longer. In the second round they grabbed Terrance Marshall to reunite with Joe Brady and give Sam another dominate deep ball threat. His fall to the second round had much to do with some injury in his past, but the Panthers don't see this as an issue moving forward. 

The Panthers then beefed up their 18th ranked O-line (PFF) by drafting tackle Brady Christensen and TE Tommy Tremble who has proven to be an excellent blocker and a solid pass catcher - basically the opposite of Ian Thomas.

With all this in mind and factoring in card prices, we are buying Sam Darnold rookie cards
